26 inch 48V 1500W bike conversion kit info request

Q: I was contacting you in hopes of getting some more information about a conversion 26 inch kit that you offer on your leaf bike website. I’m interested in the Item:LBCK26481500FN and Item:LBCK26481500RN, my question is do you offer the 26 inch 48v 1500w bike conversion kit with both the front and rear 26 inch hub with rims instead of having to purchase both kits, basically a one sole complete kit. I was hoping that 48V 20Ah lithium battery would be compatible with the kit as well. Please contact me when available. Thank you for your time and assistance.

A: Yes,can use LBCK26481500FN and LBCK26481500RN on one bike.
Need below parts:
* 1 set of throttle — use to drive two controllers
* 1 set of brake lever — use to drive two controllers
* 1 set of switch — use to control cruise
* 1 set of LCD — — use to drive two controllers
* 2 sets of 48V 1500W brushless controller
* 1 pcs of front 48V 1500W 26 inch hub motor
* 1 pcs of rear 48V 1500W 26 inch hub motor
* 1 set of lithium battery — — use to drive two controllers

Install 48V 1500W rear 26 inch bike motor on rear fork and 26 inch front hub motor wheel on your front fork.Fix controller,install throttle,brake lever,switch,LCD,also these parts all have two plugs for both controllers.Then connect rear 26 inch hub motor wheel to one controller.The other front 26 inch hub motor wheel to the other motor controller.Use 48V 20ah lithium battery to drive these two controllers. Power on and Press “sw” from LCD more than 2 seconds,then LCD will display. Turn throttle,electric bike works.

electric bike motor rear vs front wheel confusion

Your E-bike company may just be what I’ve been looking for a while now, though I have a least another set of questions before I attempt to make a purchase to ship over.
I’m still having some troubles deciding on your website exactly the difference between which hub motors are for the front vs the back wheels.
I only want to get the front bike motor wheel set up at the moment, though ultimately the rear hub motor . I’m guessing should have a little more power than the front wheel,
or should it be eventually an equally balanced between the front and the back wheel ? (maybe I should go for a 24 to 36 volt in the front and a 36 to 48 reserved for the back.

You’re right when you point out that I should have the necessary kit set-up to go with the front hub motor, such as a battery which I hope to mount somewhere
in between the bike’s triangle bars, which I will also need a mount bracket for the battery I assume., along with a speed controller and If my existing gears won’t do the trick,
then maybe special gear shifts added to the package. I don’t know if I want get the entire front and back conversion kit at this time, unless it would be a bit cheaper and easier
to buy the front and the back as a whole set with the parts, as I can always leave the back wheel mechanism in my closet for a time and just install the front hub motor.

You say most of your hub motors are fairly rain proof but not exactly mud puddle proof ? Same I guess would go for the Battery cases.

I will check things over again on your site along with the shipping arrangements, but I may still have to call you to confirm my slight back vs front wheel confusion.

Interested In Buy This Hub Motor

Q: I am very happy in viewing your electric bike rear direct drive with
26 inch hub motor wheel item ID # LBM26481500RN. My e-bike setup is 60 volts. Do you
manufacture 26×2.0 inch wheel with 60 volts 1500W rear direct drive
hub motors?
Secondly, also can you fit the bike motor in a fully BLACK rim without any
silver around the rim so it can match with my front wheel because I
use hydraulic disc brakes?
If there is anything that you need to ask me that I am missing, please
feel free to ask, that the purchase moves smoothly and correctly.

A: This 26 inch 48V 1500W rear hub motor wheel can work at 60V.Also,we can spoke this hub motor with all black color rim.

Q: Just a few more questions before I buy, because everything needs to be correct.
Can this bike motor fit any size frame bike?
Is it suitable for regenerative braking?
Does it have three phase hall sensors?
Can it fit 8 gear cogs? Which I am using at the moment with my old motor.
Please tell me the total length of the motor axle from end to end
because I’m using a rear rack ?

A: This 26 inch bike motor is fit for 135mm rear dropout. If your motor controller with regenerative braking function, will have it. It’s three phase with three hall sensors. One cable with 9 wires: heavy yellow, heavy blue, heavy green wires are motor phase wires. Thin red +5V, thin black / GND. Thin yellow, blue & green three wires are connected to three hall sensor.
It can fit for max 7 speed for 135mm dropout. If your frame can be larger, about 140mm,install 8 speed on this rear hub motor is no problem.
Total length of this shaft is 210mm.

question about one of your front hub motor for my electric bike

Q: I am interested in the 20 inch 48V 1000W hub motor electric bike kit – front wheel but I need to know what the front dropout size this hub motor wheel will fit. I have a small folding bike that has a front dropout of 74mm and need a 20 inch hub motorized wheel that can fit it. Any help you can give me would be great.

A: One of our 20 inch 48v 1000w hub motor (all black color bike motor) is fit for the spacing of 100mm front dropout.
The other 20 inch electric bike motor 48v 1000w (black color with silver motor) is fit for the spacing of 90mm front dropout.

Q: Do you have anything that can fit a 74-80mm dropout? It does not have to be 1000w. I am now looking for a 36v 250w electric hub motor kit?

A: Generally nearly all standard front fork is 100mm dropout. So all of our front electric hub motors are fit for 90-100mm.

Does your front fork is 80mm dropout?
Sometimes,when your wheel is on the bike,if you measure it the dropout may 80mm, because of two side screw nuts are be tighten.If you remove this front wheel from front fork,the dropout may be bigger,actual it also standard 100mm dropout.

Could you take a picture with your bike?

missing thread of hub motor shaft

It took a little work since spacing was tight, but I get the hub motor wheel inside of my forks. When I went to put the nuts on the axle, I saw that the bolt on the wired side is cracked. It is missing almost all of its thread which means I cannot but the nut on to hold the wheel in place. Essentially, I cannot use it at all. Please see the picture of the cracked bolt.

I was wondering if you know how I am able to repair this hub motor ‘s shaft or if I can somehow get some help on this? I spent a lot to get it all here and it is a little upsetting that a small chip is preventing me from using it at all. I’m not asking for a whole new electric hub motor wheel to be sent, just hoping I can get this bike conversion kit up and hub motor running. Please advise.

If possible, add some washers,then can solve it.

Do it as below:
Disconnect that white big plug,then can take off screw nut and add some washers into.
*. Look for a pin
*. There are five wires in this white big plug
*. Press each wire’ s pin, then the pin will out of white big plug.

I had thought I got bike conversion kit to work but there just is not enough room to to secure the nut properly. Please let me know what will be the best way to have this resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience on this.

Add washer or torque arm or lock washer.

I have trouble keeping the wheel true and recently have a lot of broken spokes and a cracked rim. It is also hard to pedal because of motor drag and I want to be able to ride it without the power on or if the battery went flat. I can’t do that now. I am interested to know a few things 1. What is the weight of the front wheel hub motor? 2. You can see my bike has the front wheel a much further distance from the handlebars.Can you supply this hub motor kit with longer wires - or extension wires with appropriate connectors - so the wires can be routed under the cargo area and up to handlebars? 3. Is the voltage programmable with your system? (My existing motor can be)(I have a big battery pack) 4. I have hydraulic disc brakes on my bike and want to be sure this is compatible with disc rotors A: 1. The net weight of this motor is 7.25kg 2. Yes. When you order on our site,just leave message: cable length, then we can make. 3. The voltage isn’t programmable. This 48v controller works with 48v or 52v battery. (from min 40v to max 60v) 4. There are six screw on left cover for install disk. The dia. is 44mm (between two screw holes)

leaf bike 26 inch 48V 1500W rear hub motor wheel kit

Q: I am interested to buy a complete Rear 1500w hub motor wheel ( the latest model with upgraded phase wires, 0.35mm lamination etc).
The model model I think is LBM26481500RN and I would like to know the following before if buy:
– the no load rpm for 4T, 5T and 6T motor at 48v
– and the top speeds under load for 26 inch wheel.
I am looking to have a maximum 55 – 60kph (not less than 55 ) top speed under load but a bit more torque for off road riding.
Also for a electric bike motor with disc brake mount, cassette, temperature sensor and a rim that fits a 2.5 tire is the same price?

A: If not load, 4T 1500w 26 inch hub motor is about 72kmh (work at 48v)
If not load, 26 inch 1500w 5T is about 60kmh (work at 48v)
We can make cassette case motor with 2mm phase wire. But we still recommend standard version with thread screw with 2.5mm phase wire.
Also,standard version is easy to install than cassette case..
* With disc brake mount, cassette,temp,rim fit for 2.5 tire – The same price.
We recommend: with disc brake, standard version (No cassette version),temp,rim fit for 2.5 tire.

Q: can you please send me a more precise data (numbers) about the rpm @ 48V for each available wingdings available, like a performance table or similar?
I found on internet different available information for this motor, but their are not consistent, there are also the forums..and each data is different.
I was hopping that you can provide me more figures..
And also,I don’t understand why for the cassette hub the phase wires are 2mm while there are existing on the opposite side ?

A:Thank you so much for the clear explanations, I understood very well now what are the draw backs for each design.
Also, I was looking over the performance datasheet and I suppose that those parameters are for the 4 turn winding I suppose right?
So for the 5T the maximum rpm with be lower and torque a bit higher. Also the max efficiency point will be at a lower rpm.
Good, so if I want to place an order for a 5T 1500W 26 inch Rear hub motor kit wheel with the following requirements:
disc mount
threaded sprocket
temp sensor
135 mm drop out
26 inch Rim for 2.5 tire (23-25 mm wide rim)
12 gauge spokes

A: Yes. That 4 turn winding.
If 5T, the max rpm with be lower and torque a bit higher.
26 inch wheel, we recommend 5T
Standard rear 1500w 5T with the following requirements
* can install disk the left side of motor
* can install threaded sprocket on the right side of motor
* with temp
* fit for 135mm dropout
* We have 26 inch out.size 25mm or out.size 32mm wide rim (Our 32mm rim is fit for 26 inch)
Please click below sites.
I think 26 inch all black color rim is fit for your 2.5 tire.

I would like to order a rear 48v 1500w hub motor wheel

I really like (love) your hub motors (they perform really well and last a long time) and now I have the time to get the one I always needed.
And here is a very similar bike which also has a 1000W option rear hub motor this one has multiple speeds, most probably 7.
I have asked the rear dropout widths. Will get back to you as soon as I know. And I have a steel frame with a 145mm dropout now which I can widen. I do not 100% understand the trade offs that you are referring to when you say that the rim doesn’t matter, it is the 3 inch tire that is the issue for this hub motor as the same electric bike motor would also go into a wider dropout fat bike which also has an even wider tire – 4 inches. I need more details to understand it more clearly.
And there are other options at the front end of the chain where we can move the chain out a bit:

1. the little chain guide can help – this is mounted to the seat tube to push out the chain from the frame and tire
2. move bottom bracket out to the right
3. or get a bottom bracket with a longer spindle
4. or add spacers between the crank and chaining

What hub motor do you use for your 2000w and higher power fat bike applications? What would I need to change to make any motor work?

I see that the 2000w electric bike motor is 74mm wide which is only 4 mm wider than the 1500w hub motor. I have attached some new pics of my bike from different angles so that you can see how much clearance I have and if I just go with a single speed setup, I will have enough clearance for the chain but in case I need to get additional clearance, I do have some options mentioned previously. So my question now is would a wider or higher power motor work better? I see that the 1500w motor works with dropouts of between 135 and 155mm. And then the 2000w one begins at 170mm. I can widen my dropout and since I won’t be needing the space of a 7 speed cassette, I should be able to have the chain clearance I need.

1500W Leaf Motor with 20″ x 4″ wide “Fat Bike” wheel

Q:Do you sale 1500w or higher hub motor laced into wheel that is 20” diameter by 4” wide for fat tire bike? If so, what are the dropout width options for axle? Can axle dropout width be 150mm wide or even wider? I have a bike frame with 170mm dropout width. I can use torque arms and spacers to fill some of this space, but not too much.

If available please quote price for:
~1500w newest model hub motor with 20” diameter x 4” width wheel (pre-laced service)
~Need motor/wheel laced with 1 cross pattern. Radial lacing is acceptable but not preferred. Black spokes preferred.
~Need 150mm or wider axle dropout width.
~Need turn count which contains HIGHEST AMOUNT COOPER FILL
~Need temp sensor pre-installed in bike motor
~Need single speed freewheel (11 or 12 tooth preferred) pre-installed
~Need SHIPPING to U.S

Also, can you sale with 750W sticker or engrave on bike motor?

A: We can make this 20 * 4 wide Fat Bike wheel.
Please click below site. This is our 20 inch 48V 1000w Fat bike wheel – It’s 20 inch bike conversion kit for fat snow bike.

We also can make 1500w bike motor.
* 1500w with 20 * 4 — Okay. (If your tire is 20 * 4 “, 20 * 3” rim is much better fit for 20 *4” tire. Also,we have 20 *4” rim)
* Please click above site. Wheel looks the same this one.
* At least the dropout 170mm or more
* With temp
* Can use single speed.But min 16 tooth can be installed on this motor. (Can’t use 11 or 12 tooth,only no motor hub use this 11,12)
* Ship to USA is okay.

Q: The tire is “Stingray tire” type. 20″ * 4 1/4″. If you think 3″ wide wheel will fit better ok. 16t freewheel is ok. Rather 1500w if motor will handle more power. Which turn count do you recommend for speed 35mph?

A: We recommend leaf 13 * 5T winding rotor.
