I have a question about hub motor system.
Q:When I connected the last hub motor kit bought from ebay this happen:
On with key wit my 48v lithium battery – all 3 light comes on in throttle.
I twist the throttle slowly hub motor start to spin and I twist the throttle more (under half speed of full speed – the wheel is spinning free no resistance – Battery is fully charged. And suddenly hub motor stops and the light on the throttle goes off.
If I take off the power with key and on again then the light comes back on the throttle.
I also try a another throttle with no difference.
How could this problem be solved ?
A:I think the problem is from your battery.Some cells inside your lithium battery are broken.Though you full charged your battery,it also can drive hub motor system when output less current(less than half speed).If twist more,need to output larger current,some broken cells will be used out energy earlier than good cells.At this time,in order to protect all cells,your BMS inside lithium battery will stop output.Therefore hub motor stopped.
When you re-start,hub motor kit still can work at less speed.

Do you have volt-meter,you can test your hub motor system as below:
1.Make your hub motor wheel in the air;
2.Power on and measure the voltage from positive and cathode of your battery;
3.Read data,maybe 42V(full charged 36V battery);
4.Twist less,run slowly;
5.Read data,maybe 41V,no any problem,three led on throttle still work;
6.Twist more,hub motor stopped;
You will find the voltage dropped less than 34V when you twist more and hub motor stopped.
But when your loose throttle,the voltage will be back 42V.So when you turn on your key,three leds be on and hub motor works.

In order to make your hub motor works normal.You should replace cells.

Q:Help me! my ebike don’t work. Then I turn on the key on the battery the 3 lights on the thumb throttle starts to light. then I press the thumb throttle the motor shake with some noise 1 second and doesn’t work.

Answer 1:Check wires.Most of problems come from wrong connecting.

Answer 2:Exchange motor wire connecting.Please connect as below picture,thanks.

Answer 3:Don’t worry.My 700c 48v1000w electric bike kit also had this problem.Please exchange yellow and green wires.
Controller ———— Motor
Thick Yellow —– Thick Green
Thick Green —– Thick Yellow
Thick Blue —– Thick Blue

Thin Yellow —– Thin Green
Thin Green —– Thin Yellow
Thin Blue —– Thin Blue
Thin Red —– Thin Red

Answer 4:My 36V 250W 26″ kit also exchanged these two wires.

Answer 5:No exchange thin red and thin black wires,just exchange three thick yellow,blue,green and three thin yellow,blue,green wires. Exchange 12 times,must find one kind of right phase and system can work normal.

Answer 6:Had better to connect wires as instruction,sometime connect wrong wire will break controller.Even if done wire connecting,still need to re-check connecting.At last put on battery.

Answer 7:Don’t worry,your hub motor can shake that means motor and controller are both okay,please exchange wires according as the instruction of drawing that will solve it.

Hub motor is make up of rotor winding,magnet,hub,axis,bearing,hall sensor…

Hub motor electromagnetic fields are supplied to the stationary windings of the motor. The outer part of the motor follows, or tries to follow, those fields, turning the attached wheel.

About motor speed,power..we can customize it according as customers’ actual need by change gauge of the coil wires and/or the turns number of the coils and/or the height of magnet

Q:Ordered 1 set of bike conversion kit from leafmotor couple days ago.
Waited for nearly 7 days,picked up box in local post office.
Disconnect this package,everything is nice,especially LCD display,as said,it can display speed,mileage,battery gauge..
Happy to done conversion,spend half a day.Hub motor works well.But can’t find any data display on this LCD, I don’t know how to set this LCD.

Need a user’s manual for set LCD, urgently!!!
