My wife & I purchased an electric 700c front wheel – bike motor kit from you earlier this year.
In my 37+ years working on bicycles the “road bike” brake levers included with our wheel are the first I’ve seen with mountain bike cable connectors.
I’ve completed the installation of the new 700c motorized wheel shipped to us in perfect condition.
I was pleased that the pedal assist bracket and cable were included in the package even though I had to epoxy the pickup to the front bottom bracket housing for it to “see” the magnetized ring portion of the assembly. I use a “five minute” epoxy I’ve been happy with several years now!
I had to purchase and install a new mountain bike fork on our pre-2000 Cannondale tandem to adequately support the electric wheel. I had also to install a rim tape over the spoke head access holes on the wheel where the inner tube fills the space inside the tire. Only the threaded portion of the inner tube valve protrudes from the inner accessible area of the exterior wheel rim opposite the wheel hub. I chose a puncture-resistant slime filled tube to use with the road bike tire on the wheel. Servicing the tire “on the road” with that wheel isn’t a pleasant prospect. I praise God that I have the health, experience and knowledge to maintain and service assemblies of this type!
Question: After completion of the e-bike wheel install and the wiring connections (less the two leads to the yet-to-arrive battery), I still have a white plastic electric connector with 3 prongs within. What might this remaining connector be for?
