A: Thanks for you are interested in our products.

Please below link. These 17 inch bike conversion kits are fit for you.
https://www.leafbike.com/products/electric-motorcycle-kit/17-inch-electric-motorcycle-wheel/

Q: Can you please send me data sheets to the strongest hub motor and a mechanical drawings.
A:If need to stronger, replace this stronger controller. We can make this kind of 17 inch, just replace a rim.
https://www.leafbike.com/products/beach-snow-fat-bike-kit/26-inch-2000w-5000w-high-power-rear-hub-motor-bike-conversion-kit-992.html

But this 2000w hub motor is fit for 170mm or 190mm dropout.

Q:  I cant use this hub motor as the dropout is too big.
Looking for a hub motor with max 138mm dropout. Whats the strongest you can offer?

Please send me data sheet, test curves and mechanical drawing of the hub motor

A: If need to install sprocket / Chain, max use 1500w motor.If don’t need to install sprocket / Chain, max 2000w motor.

Q: Please send me datasheet, test curves and mechanical drawing of the 1500w hub motor.

18 inch electric motorcycle hub motor kit

1. The rear wheel diameter is 18 inch motorcycle motor kit and the rim width is 2.75inch (70mm). Thank you, it would be great if I could get the same rim with the hub motor. In case, this causes problems, I think a 2.5inch rim width should also work.

2. The hub motor that makes 50mph (i.e. the one that you describe in the 1.8-16inch 2000w hub motor) sounds great for me. Do you have a more detailed sheet on it, i.e. the torque, rpm etc?! I would like to go with this one then.

3. Great, thank you. Do you have more details on the dimensions of the shaft (diameter and shape) such that I could already start checking how I can mount it in my swing arm.

4. Sounds great, so this will be my option of choice.

5. Okay, I will need the brake to be on the left side, so this is my option of choice, thanks.

6. How much more would be the 60V battery and can you estimate the enhancement in power of the 18 inch electric motorcycle motor kit? I think 52V will be fine for me, but just to know.

7. Thank you, so there will be no additional custom fees when shipping it to Finland?

Finally, how can we proceed with the ordering once all remaining open questions are solved as I cannot use the products from the web shop directly due to the special needs?
How long will be the lead time roughly?

I will go with the 1.85-18 rim then and I guess with the 60V battery.
I will mention all as you explained, thank you.
Before ordering, I will have to figure out some minor detail so i guess I will place the order some time next week.
Looking forward to have the engine.

29 inch electric hub motor kit

Q: If I buy 29 inch electric hub motor kit, for the real wheel, will the cassette of back wheel fit together with the our wheel? Cassette i mean the component, where the chain goes to change speeds. I am afraid the motor plus the cassette will not fit the bike. Our electric motor kit, fits 29inch x 1.95 but does it fit 29inch x 1.35?
I am interested in buying a new bike and adapt it because if will be have a better cost/performance/quality ratio, than buying strait electric bicycle. This what I am interested in,it is a carbon fiber frame 2k, their cheapest electric mountain bike was an allow frame, 400w motor and costs 2.7k, so plus 700 dollars, allow frame and only 400w compared with ours kit.

A: Not comes with cassette. It’s standard size. ONLY 7 speed cassette fit for our hub motor. Our 29 inch motor wheel is fit for 29 x 1.95″ tire and 135mm dropout.

Q: I can buy the front wheel kit instead, few months from, still need to buy the bike first.

A: Front wheel kit is also good.

Q: https://www.leafbike.com/products/diy-bike-conversion-kit/29-inch-48v-52v-1500w-rear-wheel-electric-hub-motor-kit-1065.html
Does this kit come with battery? Also ” Freewheel / Cassette: space for single speed..6 speed or max 7 speed”
I want the version sprocket with cassette not freewheel.
Can you tell me the size off the sprocket?
The cassette from the bike i want is 40.9mm and 12speed, just 8 or 9 mm more than the standard 7 speed cassette.

A: Not come with battery. Cassette is standard size. As we knows, only one. Ours is fit for 7 speed. Not fit for other 6 speed.

Q: If I know the exact size of the sprocket i know if the cassette will fit, in the kit, if not i can put the motor on the front wheel, which fits the sizes?

A: But it’s not fit for 135mm dropout, install 7 speed on this motor. Your dropout should be 137mm.If 12 speed.Your dropout should be more than 145mm.Mount bike, max 7 speed. 7 speed is fit for your rear fork. This rear motor isn’t fit for front.

18 inch electric motorcycle conversion kit

I am interested in the electric motorcycle conversion kit you offer. I am electrifying an old Kawasaki KE 125 (1976) and would require the fitting electric hub engine for the rear wheel and all other components (controller, battery, brake). Before I can order, I have a few questions:

I would need a 18inch rim (at least 2.5inch wide as shown in one photon in this kit https://www.leafbike.com/products/electric-motorcycle-kit/1.6-18-inch-48v-52v-1500w-rear-electric-motorcycle-motor-kit-1275.html?VariantsId=10576 , but it could also be wider as there was a 2.75 inch rim installed before). However, as for the hub motor, I would like to have a 2000W motor with max speed 50mph as described here for a 16inch rim https://www.leafbike.com/products/electric-motorcycle-kit/1.85-16-inch-48v-52v-2000w-rear-electric-motorcycle-motor-kit-1272.html?VariantsId=10413. Is that possible?

Do you have a faster hub motor in a motorcycle kit too?

The drop out would need to be 215 mm. I measured 200mm between the swing arms (inside to Inside distance) and 215mm at the outside (outside to outside distance). Is that possible? Or is there another way to adjust it?

I assume that when buying the kit, this means that I only have to install it but the rest fits together already?

How much more would be to get the color display LB08HU instead of the standard LCD-S830?

In addition, I would need the disk brake to be mounted on the left side with your motor flange (https://www.leafbike.com/products/electric-bike-parts/motorcycle-disk-brake-pads-rotor-flange-1252.html) such that I assume that the cable location should be on the left?!

I would also order the disk brake set for motorcycles that you offer (https://www.leafbike.com/products/electric-bike-parts/180mm-motorcycle-disc-brake-1056.html) and a battery.
For the battery, I am wondering how much of a difference the 52V (https://www.leafbike.com/products/lithium-battery/52v-20ah-lithium-battery-1224.html ) compared to the 48V makes in terms of performance of the hub engine?

How much would cost in total incl. shipping?
The shipping would be to Finland. How does it work with the customs? Do you have any information and experience with shipping it to the EU?

bldc motor for electric bike

Because of lower noise, more powerful, longer life. Now bldc motors are popular for electric bikes.

This motor can be easily built into a wheel hub, called brushless hub motor or done a chain drive, named stepper motor.Stepper motor is more powerful than brushless hub motor.

As all known, hub motor is easy to convert e-bike,but for bldc motor,it’s so easy to convert. You should use a chain to drive wheel.
We have three kinds of bldc motors. It aslo is made up of rotor winding, hall sensor, bearings, axis, gears.

Because of gear drive,it’s more powerful than common brushless hub motor.

BMX 20 inch 1500W rear hub motor kit

Q: I will be purchasing the your BMX 1500W rear hub motor kit. Before I go ahead could you please help with the following information.

1. What is the expected delivery time to the UK with the current covid 19 pandemic in the UK in terms courier entry to the UK?

2. What amp battery would I require?

3. Would my Saracen amplitude (steel frame) need re-enforcing to handle the power? ……In your opinion as I understand this is a difficult question to answer.

A: 1. about 10 days now. (It’s faster than last month)
2. 40amp or 50amp battery
3. if install hub motor on frame very strong, very well..No looseness — No problem (We will make wheel works in the line. Shake is less than 0.5mm from left & right.. shake is less than 1mm from up to down)

Q: Okay well my best option is to purchase a customized battery from you, as you best know the requirements for the kit you sold me…..

1. For clarity the following battery is the product I need to order? –
52V 12ah lithium battery –
Item ID #LBB521B
£335.75?
& You will customize as per your knowledge of my requirements?

1b. This battery is designed to attach to the Bottle holder screws I believe? As it’s being attached to the Top Bar of the BMX (under the riders knees) laying from back to front of bike,  A BMX does not have these bottle holder screws.

Do you sell a bracket that I can use to attach the battery without using Bottle holder screws?

Or know if possible to add those type of screws to the frame of my BMX?

2. Also my precious kit purchase added around £150 for important fees…..
Will this battery have added import fees? —as not added until final till checkout on site.

3. Do you sell a Torque arm that is compatible with my BMX hub because I want to further secure the wheel hub to the frame?

4. Could you offer my any additional discount? on battery and (Torque arm + battery bracket if you can supply) as offering repeat business associated with Hub purchase.

Thank you for excellent customer service I will be sure to leave an amazing Review on your website.

20 inch 48v 52v front hub motor diy bike conversion kits question

Q: Hello! I have been viewing your various 20″ 48v/52v front hub motor diy bike conversion kits and I have a couple of questions.

1) Is there a way to install a disc brake rotor somehow next to the hub motor and still function properly? If so, can you tell me maximum rotor size allowed for these kits?

2) What type of battery would you recommend for a 48v/52v front hub motor kit like this?

Thank you very much for your time and assistance regarding this matter.

A: 1.) Can install a disk on this 20 inch 1000w or 1500w front hub motor… but the front dropout should be 105mm or 110mm..
Standard front dropout is about 100mm..

So if the dropout can’t be larger, can’t use disk on front motor.

2.) We recommend 52v 20ah lithium battery.
https://www.leafbike.com/products/lithium-battery/52v-20ah-1500w-electric-bike-battery-triangle-battery-1225.html

Q: Thank you very much for your quick response. Do you know what the maximum disc brake rotor size I would be allowed to install next to motor? Thank you again.

A: We installed max 160mm

Below picture.
The dia. of two holes for disk is 44m…
If your 180mm 203mm,  aslo 44mm… You can install 180mm, 203mm disk

Q:
I forgot to ask you one last thing before making a final decision on a front hub motor kit. I know you said you are not able to ship the recommended 52v 20ah battery to Japan, but can you recommend a charger to go with this type of battery? Thank you again for all of your help and assistance.

I just noticed the charger that comes with the 52v 20ah li battery, so I can look for battery/charger here in Japan. But, do you have in stock just the frame bag for holding this type of battery?
